â
For the trips to Mexico, Norway or French Polynesia you don't need any type of diving certification.
For our newest trip to Raja Ampat it is required for you to be atleast open water scuba dive certified. If you aren't experienced or comfortable you can hire a private guide during the trip. You can also join to snorkel and pay for a discover scuba diving day.

What level of swimming do I need?
â
Participants joining along on the expedition are held responsible for being in sufficiently good physical and mental health to undertake the expedition demands. The skills needed for this expedition are moderate to advanced, as it requires swimming in the deep open ocean.
For the trips in French Polynesia to swim with whales you will have to be able to swim anywhere from 100m to 300m at one time. Therefore, it will be the participant’s responsibility to prepare accordingly for this trip. It is also required to let us know if you have any medical conditions or dietary restrictions at the time of reservation or well in advance of the trip.
â
How close does the marine life come?
â
In French Polynesia, boats can't go more than 100 meters from the whale so this means you have to swim the rest of the way in the open ocean.
During our Mexico trips we can be dropped closer to the mobula rays however during any trip there will be rules and regulations to respect distance to the marine life and we will always give the marine life space and respect so we can have the most ethical encounters possible.
